Hosting keeps a website online. Care keeps it healthy. They are not the same thing, and the difference usually shows up at the worst possible moment.
What our care plans actually include
- Backups before every change. Not just a nightly copy, but a fresh backup of the database and files right before we update or edit anything.
- Updates, tested. WordPress, theme and plugin updates applied and checked, rather than left to run automatically and hope.
- Security watch. Monitoring for suspicious activity, failed sign ins and files that change when they should not.
- Working email. Contact forms and account emails sent through your business email provider, and checked that they arrive.
- Small changes, done for you. New photos, updated prices and fresh copy without waiting in a queue.
- A written log. Every change we make is recorded in version control with a note explaining why.
Why the paper trail matters
All of the code we write for a site lives in a Git repository, and every change is recorded as a reviewable commit with a note explaining it. If something ever goes wrong, we can see exactly what changed, when and why, and roll it back in minutes. It also means you are never locked in: the full history belongs to you.
Tools that make care efficient
We manage WordPress from the command line as much as from the dashboard. Tools like WP-CLI let us back up, update, audit and fix sites quickly and repeatably, which keeps care plans affordable and changes consistent.
